Metro Senior Ride Service

Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and Dilworth

We provide a service to ambulatory residents of the Fargo-West Fargo-Moorhead-Dilworth metro area; our target clientele are residents age 60 years and older. Rides are given for any kind of need. This service is not wheelchair accessible. Please see the schedule below:

Office/Scheduling Hours:
7:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday – Friday

Transportation Hours:
7:30 AM-4:00 PM Monday – Friday.

Ride appointments are made by calling our office at 701-356-7433 (RIDE) at least 3-5 days in advance to schedule your ride. A ride may be scheduled up to five weeks in advance. 

*Exact cash or check is accepted by ride drivers. If you are looking to pay for a ride ahead of time or purchase a punch card, you may do so with a credit card by calling 701-356-7433 (RIDE).

Ride to Meal Sites

Seniors whom would like a ride to any of Valley Senior Services Fargo or West Fargo meal sites are able to do so for only $1.00 per one-way ride. Please call 701-356-7433 (RIDE) to schedule your ride.

Grocery Shopping

A 14 passenger bus is used to transport seniors for one hour of grocery shopping. Please call 1 day in advance to request a ride. For all other ride services please call 3 – 5 days in advance.

U Manor, Pioneer Manor, Fargo High Rise, Heritage House, Sunrise

12:30-1:00 PM – Bus pick-up at locations
Trollwood Village and north residential

WEDNESDAYS:

Hornbacher’s on 32nd Avenue South
8:30-9:00 AM – Bus pick-up at locations
Crossroads, One Oak Place, River Square (1250, 1251), south residential

Wal-Mart on 52nd Avenue South – Seats are limited
12:30-1:00 PM – Bus pick-up at locations
All Fargo and West Fargo areas

Moorhead and Dilworth

Transportation to the Moorhead – Dilworth area is provided through Transit Alternatives. The service provides grocery, Wal-Mart and Target shopping trips in the Moorhead – Dilworth area. Please call 866-998-3002 for more information.

Valley Senior Services Title VI Policy assures that no person or groups of persons shall, on the grounds of race, color or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any transportation activities administered by Valley Senior Services, its recipients, subrecipients, and contractors.

Park District Board meetings take place once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. All Board Meetings are held in the Board Room of the Park District Offices at 701 Main Avenue. For more information regarding the Park Board, policies, procedures or other items, click here.
