The annual Southern Valley Aging Expo is back and with even more community support and empowerment, bringing together area service providers to offer invaluable knowledge and resources to older adults in our region. This year’s expo is set to be an excellent afternoon, with over 30 agencies dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors through their services.

One of the main attractions of the expo is the opportunity for attendees to engage directly with service providers at their booths. These booths serve as hubs of information, offering insights into a wide range of services tailored to the needs of older adults and their families. From healthcare and wellness to assistive technology and community support, the expo covers a comprehensive spectrum of support systems.

In addition to the informative booths, the expo features engaging speakers throughout the day. Topics such as mental health, stretches for staying agile, and scam prevention, providing attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration for healthy living.

A free-will offering hot lunch will be available again this year to those attending the expo. None of this would be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. We extend our heartfelt thanks to event sponsors, Richland County Council on Aging, Valley Senior Services, Gate City Bank, Plantastic, Doosan Bobcat, Cargill and Wahpeton Senior Centerfor their commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults in our community. Their contributions enable us to create a vibrant and informative event that celebrates the wisdom and vitality of our aging population.

Join us at the Southern Valley Aging Expo, Thursday, May 14 from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm at the Wahpeton Community Center and discover a wealth of resources, insights, and connections that empower seniors to live life to the fullest.
