Secret Santa for Seniors
Help spread a little holiday cheer to area seniors this season! Valley Senior Services is hosting its annual Secret Santa for Seniors program to ensure local seniors experience the joy of Christmas.
Starting mid-November, community members are invited to adopt a senior by selecting a wish list and shopping for their holiday gifts. Each year, Valley Senior Services identifies seniors who may be spending the holidays alone or are unable to travel to see family. Every senior is welcome to create a holiday wish list, regardless of background or religion.

Help brighten the holiday season for seniors in Fargo, West Fargo, and Rural Cass. Community members can adopt a senior by stopping by the VSS office or calling the Valley Senior Services main office or emailing to request a tag. Once you’ve selected a list, shop for the items and return the wrapped (or unwrapped) gifts and tag to our Fargo office.
Gift drop-off deadline: Thursday, December 4, by 12:00 p.m.

Join us in taking part in the holiday giving tradition by visiting the Secret Santa tree at Econofoods in Wahpeton. Each tag represents a local senior’s wishes for the season. Pick a tag, shop for the listed items, and return gifts and tags to either Econofoods or the Wahpeton Senior Center.

This year, Dollar General locations in Gwinner, Enderlin, and Lisbon are partnering with us to support more than 60 area seniors. Each store will feature a Secret Santa for Seniors tree with wish list tags available for adoption. Community members can choose a tag and return gifts + tag to the store where the tag was selected or to the Lisbon Senior Center.

Last year, thanks to more than 150 generous shoppers, 262 Red River Valley seniors received gifts, along with $500 in additional donations!
