Scam Alert: COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine Survey Emails

There are reports of a new COVID-19 vaccine email scam where people are asked to complete a survey. The email claims to be Pfizer offering a free reward but ask people to pay a nominal fee “to cover shipping.” Do not respond to COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine Surveys, learn more about the scam by following this link to a flyer. Please contact North Dakota Senior Medicare Patrol (ND SMP) at (800) 233-1737 if you have responded to a similar vaccine survey email.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

As the COVID-19 vaccine becomes more accessible, we want to make sure you are getting the information you need about the vaccine. Follow this link for information from Fargo Cass Public Health with details on how to register for the vaccine through their agency. Social Work Month

This month we are celebrating Social Work Month and we want to take time to thank them for everything they do for our seniors, volunteers, staff and the communities we serve. Our Social Workers are an essential part of our team, they make invaluable contributions to our society, especially as we work together through COVID-19. We are grateful to have a team of Resource Specialists whose passion is helping seniors.

Giving Hearts Day

North Dakota Renter’s Refund

The North Dakota Renter’s Refund program provides renters a partial refund on rent paid for living quarters or for a mobile home lot. Refunds can be up to, but not exceeding, $400. The Renter’s Refund is available to individuals who are 65 years of age or older, or individuals who are permanently and totally disabled. You can call the ND Office of State Tax Commissioner at (701) 328-3127 or our office to have an application mailed to you. If you would like assistance applying for a rent refund, please contact Valley Senior Services Resource Specialists at 293-1440. They will discuss options for assistance while we continue to follow safety guidelines during COVID-19.
